Chrome Doesn’t Delete Google’s Own Cookies When You Clear All Cookies

The Infinite Brief
Twitter user Christopher Tavan discovered that when you select “Clear All Cookies” on Google Chrome, you’re not actually deleting all cookies.

Google does not delete its own cookies, even when users select “Remove All” in the “Clear Browser Data” settings.

Chrome also does not empty local storage, which, as Tavan points out, “is broadly used in web/ad tracking.”
