Personal Privacy Hacked, Resulting in Massive Private Data Breach

The Infinite Brief
A government system used by insurance agents and brokers to help customers sign up for healthcare plans was hacked, allowing hackers access to personal data on 75,000 people.

Hackers targeted the back-end system that insurance agents use to help enroll customers in new plans, not site itself.

In a statement, officials said they are “working to identify the individuals potentially impacted as quickly as possible so that we can notify them and provide resources such as credit protection.”
