Facebook Uses Deceptive Design Code on Every Timeline Post in Attempt to Fool Ad Blockers

The Infinite Brief
Privacy researcher Wolfie Christl recently discovered that Facebook uses deceptive design code on every single Timeline post in an attempt to fool ad blockers.

Facebook adds 5 divs, 9 spans and 30 css classes to every single post in the timeline to make it more difficult for content blockers to identify sponsored posts.

In addition to CSS and design tags, Facebook also uses other coding shenanigans in an effort to deceive ad blocking software.
