Facebook and Google Could Soon Be Required to Tell You How Much Your Data is Worth

The Infinite Brief
Tech companies like Facebook and Google could be forced to reveal how much individual users’ data is worth to them thanks to proposed legislation.

The bill would mandate that some of the world’s biggest web platforms provide reports to their users every 90 days about the information collected about them and the data’s worth.

The bipartisan bill was introduced by Senators Mark Warner (D-VA) and Josh Hawley (R-MO).
