Mozilla Takes Aim at Google with Revamped Android Browser and User Agent Changes

The Infinite Brief
The Mozilla Foundation is reinventing its web browser for the 2.5 billion devices that run Google’s operating system with Firefox Preview.

Preview, which features much speedier performance and little user tracking, is still in its beta stage, but is ready to be tested in the real world.

In addition, Mozilla plans to omit CPU architecture information from Firefox’s user agent and several supported APIs to reduce the digital fingerprint of Firefox users.

The user agent reveals information about the browser and browser version, operating system, and, up until recently, also the CPU architecture.
